Pad Printing directly onto sunscreen tubes Atomicon Promotions are experts in Pad printing or direct printing methods. Pad printing is branding or printing a 2D logo or image onto a 3D object such as a sunscreen tube or other promotional products. A metal plate is made of the in required logo which is then hit by a rubber pad. The rubber pad picks up only the ink of the logo and then is transferred to the required product. The latest pad printing technology is used by Atomicon promotional which means we can print 1 - 4 colour son our sunscreen range.
The advantage of using direct pad print is we can match specific PMS colours as required meaning your logo is matched exactly in shape and colour. The disadvantages of using a pad print are on smaller runs the cost can be high. The maximum print area is also limited by the shape of the product which means on a sunscreen you are limited to a print area of around 30mm (W) to 45mm (L). The print also needs to be dried over a 24 hour period meaning that the turn around on direct printed sunscreen can be a little longer than other processes.
Digital Printing for promotional sunscreen Atomicon Promotions are also experts in digital printing. We use only the most advanced Roland printing digital machines which means we can supply the highest quality full colour digital images for our sunscreen tubes. Digital printed sunscreen has an image printed onto high quality 5 year outdoor vinyl which is either square or die cut to a particular shape depending on the logo. This is then applied tot he promotional sunscreen tubes resulting in a full colour, cost effective product.
The advantage of using digital print for sunscreen are simple. With our Roland printer we can reproduce full colour logo's and or images at extremely low costs. In fact the price of a full colour print will cost the same as a single colour direct print. Since this is a much simpler process we can also turn it around in as little as 12 hours for rushed orders. The labels can also be dire cut to any shape adding that little big extra to the look and feel of the product. The print area for our full colour digital printed sunscreen tubes is also only limited by the size of the product meaning we can print larger and more detailed images.
The disadvantages of direct print is we cannot match PMS colours exactly. That said our team of experienced colour matches will match the PMS to the print output ensuring the closest possible match. Most colours when matched using this method are either 100% correct or between 80% - 90% correct.
